Painting n°7: Charmed 1x17
After my Charmed painting, I wanted to do another, but in a more difficult way. I chose to represent the three original sisters and to paint a real background this time.

I spent 18 hours on it, working first on Holly Marie Combs, then doing Alyssa Milano's clothes, and coming back to painting Shannen Doherty's eyes.

Painting n°6: Charmed 5x01
I've always been a fan of the TV show Charmed and on this beginning of 2010, I wanted to try something different. I choose a still on the Internet. What's different is, first, that there are two characters to be painted. They're also seen from a different angle than what I used to do. And I decided to stop using ink for the background, here I did it all with blue and white acrylic:

I started with the backgeound and the clothes. Clothes were easy to do.

Rose McGowan was easier to paint. At that point of the painting, my drawing already looked like her. It was not the same for Holly Marie Combs... The nose was very different, and the hair was hard to do.

It was the first time I tried to paint red hair, but I like the way the painting look at the end:
I spent 13 hours on it. Even got a comment from Holly Marie Combs on Twitter:
HDonoho @purplejulia Wowza! That's more accurate than r action figures! Good job.

Painting n°5: Jennifer Love Hewitt
I started watching Ghost Whisperer last summer, because it was the only interesting TV show airing on saturday and found myself recording it when I wasn't home. Now I really like the show, and thought I should try to paint Jennifer Love Hewitt. There's a lot of interesting photos of her on the Internet:

I wanted to do a simple background painted with ink, and not acrylic. I didn't like how it came out, so I changed most of it, using black ink all over and left only a grey circle around Jennifer's head. I guess I should have kept it for a Twilight painting lol

I started painting her hair, I used a lot of different shades of brown, because that's how her hair looks like on the show. I then tried to do the skin, but it was pretty hard. Her eyes didn't look like the actress' eyes, so I reworked on them.
I painted more eyelashes and dark eyeshadow, and added also another shade of skin & with the same color added some light on her hair. Finally I worked on the dress, which was pretty hard, cause I decided to keep it white. I spent from 15 to 20 hours on this painting, it was one of the more difficult to do.
